The PADI Scuba Diver course is great if you are short on time or not sure you want to go all the way through the full Open Water course.

As with the Open Water course you learn at your own pace by studying in your hotel room with the book & DVD (only the first 3 chapters).

What's Involved

Learning to scuba dive has never been more convenient. Whether you're on the go or want to take it slow, PADI eLearning lets you complete the knowledge development portion of the PADI Open Water Diver course online.

Learning to dive isn't difficult, but like any activity worth doing, it requires some time & effort. While taking the PADI Scuba Diver course, you'll enjoy three phases: Knowledge Development, Confined Water Dives & Open Water Dives.

  • Knowledge Development - There are 3 sections
    • This develops your familiarity with basic principles & procedures.
    • You learn things like how pressure affects your body, how to choose the best gear & what to consider when planning dives.
    • You complete Knowledge Development on your own, reading the first 3 sections of the PADI Open Water Diver Manual & watching the corresponding section of the PADI Open Water Diver Video (which also previews skills you'll learn).
    • You briefly review what you studied in each section with us & take a short quiz to be sure you're getting it.
  • Confined Water Dives - There are 3 of them
    • This is what it's all about - diving.
    • You develop basic scuba skills in a pool or in a body of water with pool-like conditions.
    • Here you'll learn everything from setting up your gear to how to easily get water out of your mask without surfacing.
    • You'll also practice some emergency skills, like sharing air - just in case.
    • Plus have time to practice & have a great time.
  • Open Water Dives - Plus 2 dives in open water
    • Now your ready to jump into open water.
    • This is where you have fun putting it all together & fully experience the underwater adventure - at the beginner level, of course.
    • Plus get to see all the aquatic life we have to offer.
